Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 22, 2026
Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy describes how Lineo Studios collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information across our website and services.
1. Introduction & Scope
Lineo Studios ("Lineo", "we", "us", or "our") is a software development studio based in the United States. This policy applies to personal information we collect through our marketing website, client portal, quote and contact forms, and the services we provide to clients.
It does not apply to third-party websites or services that we do not control. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use our website or services.
2. Information We Collect
Account data you provide when you register or work with us, such as your name, email address, and company name.
Lead and quote data you submit through our forms, including project details and any message you send us.
Usage and log data generated automatically when you access our website, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and timestamps.
Cookie data as described below. We do not intentionally collect sensitive categories of personal information, and we ask that you do not send them to us through our forms.
3. Cookies & Local Storage
We use a small number of strictly necessary and functional cookies and similar technologies. These include a session cookie named __Host-lineo_session that keeps you signed in to authenticated areas; a language preference cookie named lineo_lang that remembers your chosen locale; and a theme cookie named lineo_theme that remembers your light or dark display preference.
We also use Cloudflare Turnstile on our forms to protect against bots and abuse, which may set its own tokens. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can clear or block cookies through your browser settings, but some features may not function correctly without them.
4. How We Use Information
We use personal information to provide, operate, and improve our services; to respond to your inquiries and prepare quotes and proposals; to create and manage client accounts; to process payments and send transactional communications such as receipts and project notifications; to maintain the security and integrity of our systems and prevent fraud and abuse; and to comply with our legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
5. Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us operate, and only to the extent necessary, including Stripe, Inc. for payment processing; Cloudflare, Inc. for our secure tunnel, content delivery, and Turnstile bot protection; and Mailtrap for sending transactional email.
These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. We may also disclose information if required by law, to respond to lawful requests, to protect our rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, to maintain our business records, and to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymize it.
Account information is retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward; lead and quote submissions are retained while they remain relevant to a potential or active engagement.
7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. Passwords are hashed using the Argon2 algorithm and are never stored in plain text, and data is encrypted in transit using TLS. We restrict access to personal information to those who need it to operate our services.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access the personal information we hold about you, to request its correction, and to request its deletion, subject to legal limitations.
Residents of California have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights; because we do not sell personal information, no opt-out of sale is necessary.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected], and we will respond as required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
9. International Users
Lineo Studios operates from the United States and serves clients in the United States and Latin America. If you access our website or services from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be processed and stored in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. By using our services, you consent to this transfer and processing.
10. Children's Privacy
Our website and services are intended for businesses and professionals and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of our website and services after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
12. Contact
If you have questions or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or your personal information, please contact us at [email protected].
